Today, I felt very happy as I was able to help two helpless passengers on their travel with my little knowledge of trains, routes, fare & rules.
One Sr. Women Citizen & Her daughter both with less Railway knowledge were supposed to travel in this train from YPR to NDL and were dropped at YPR station by some relatives. They were having a Tatkal e-tkt.
Someone at YPR station misguided them to board the 17604 YPR-KCG Express instead of the 17212 Kondaveedu Express. They were asked to get down at YNK by...

I was at YNK seeing off my mom to KCG by 17604.
I noticed that they were struggling to get some info from the porters by showing the ticket. I intervened and found out the whole story.
I spoke to their receivers and local people and explained that nothing to worry. They can book another ticket by Puri Garibrath today being a saturday. Found the availability in 22884 to NDL from YNK. Avbl 240. Explained their relatives on how to book the ticket online. As I didn't the address of YNK PRS, I found out from the SM and gave them directions to reach the PRS as an alternative. Also gave them an advice on how to board the train in the case of chart getting prepared before they could book.
Made them sit near the SM's room GN waiting area. Helped them carry luggage and returned to my home.
