For tomorrow morning MyS Chennai VB to Benguluru out of 436 seats available for booking 326 are still available only 100 seats are booked. In these some will be to Chennai and SBC. With this sort of occupancy trends why is RB so fond of introducing VBs from Mysore. The trend is same in afternoon dep out of 957 seats 795 vacant and 160 booked. The return train from Chennai is too worse hardly 100 after SBC. Without touching Tirupati if introduced to Renigunta it will endup like Chennai Vijayawada VB every day 250+ seats are vacant in Chennai RU. Will get occupancy only on SAT and reverse on SAT SUN. Road distance is far less then railroute @ 258km vs 360km to RU. and most travellers from Bengaluru prefer to travel night to Tirupati have Darshan during day return from afternoon or night depending on Darshan slot. Agree, Chittoor will also benefit from this. I think, railways are preferring 130 MPS b/w JTJ and RU via KPD, MLPM over CTO route. JTJ-SBC is still not cleared officially though but it seems like they factored in 130kmph while formulating this TT.
