These include yard developments, additional running lines, toilet facilities at level crossing gates and stations, new crossing stations, safety fencing, and a new freight terminal at Haliyuru near Chitradurga. Other initiatives included the development of Sasalu freight terminal, a new bypass line connecting Birur-Hubballi and Birur-Talguppa lines, planting over 7,000 saplings, and installing 691 prepaid smart energy meters in staff quarters.
