Traveled in the new Mangalore-Madgaon DEMU yesterday from MAJN to BYNR. The train which was running with 5-10% occupancy is now getting 90-95% patronage due to its extended run upto Madgaon! I was in the first coach(motor car with 30 seats). That coach had just 50% occupancy with 16 passengers. The second coach had 80% and the last 3 coaches had 100% occupancy with standees in the last coach(motor coach with 30 seats).
So this experiment is a total success! Many of the passengers were to Kumta and Karwar and the rest to Madgaon.

Same kind of DEMU rake is running as SGUJ-DHH-SGUJ DEMU FAST PASSENGER..... that rake was transfered from NR/DLI DIV to SGUJ....
What type of back rest is there in the seats.... longer one where you can rest your head too or the short heights one ..

ekmatra APDJ me hi iska announce ment computerised hota hai or wo as a "DEMU FAST PASSENGER" hota hai baki har jagah manual announcememnt hi hota hai....
or ha ye sirf colur hi different hai baki sab kuch same us NR rake ke jaisi hi hai... seats thore tall hai, LOCO acceleration bohot acha hai RVK station ke baad , 50-55 touch kr leti haai forest ke andar hi or fir GRU me sudden braking v kar leti hai.... bus yahi fark hai MAJN-MAO DEMU se apne SGUJ-DHH demu ke colour diff hai..
