Train number 09040, the Jaynagar-Ujjain Summer Special, will depart on Tuesday at 7:00 AM. Several trains are running 17 hours late due to the ongoing farmers' protest at Shambu station in Punjab, which has been blocking train routes for 13 days. The trains are being diverted, leading to delays. On Monday, 20 trains were impacted, including the Himgiri Express (12332) by 11.20 hours, Archan Express (12356) by 4.08 hours, Punjab Mail (13006) by 2.15 hours, Sealdah Express (13152) by 6.47 hours, Amritsar-Gorakhpur Superfast (22423) by 5.29 hours, Ganga Satluj Express (13308) by 17.14 hours, Shaheed Express (14674) by 3.15 hours, and Saryu Yamuna Express (14649) by 2.06 hours. Remodelling work at the Kishanganj yard in Bareilly will affect train services on May 7th and 8th. The yard will be remodelled, and pre-non-interlocking work will be carried out. The loop line at Aluabari station will also be interlocked on these dates. Some trains will be terminated or originated at short distances, and some will be partially cancelled. The Ajmer-Kishanganj Express (15716) will terminate at Katihar Junction on May 2nd instead of Kishanganj, and the Kishanganj-Ajmer Express (15715) will depart from Katihar instead of Kishanganj on May 3rd and 7th.
