Additionally, special AC trains will run from Tambaram to Kochuveli on September 6th, 8th, 13th, 15th, 20th, and 22nd. Return trains from Kochuveli to Tambaram will operate on September 7th, 14th, 16th, 21st, and 23rd. These trains will have 14 AC economy coaches and will pass through Trichy, Madurai, and Sengottai. Advance booking for these special trains is currently available. In addition to these train services, the Tamil Nadu State Transport Department has arranged 2,315 special buses for passengers traveling to their hometowns for the long weekend. 1,030 buses will operate from Chennai's Koyambedu on Friday and Saturday, while 725 buses will depart from Koyambedu to various destinations on Sunday.
