Upon completion, this line will provide an alternative route for trains from North India to the Northeastern states via Balmiki Nagar and Raxaul, reducing congestion at Gorakhpur Junction station. The route will include Anandnagar, Maharajganj, and Ghugli Crossing stations, along with four halt stations. A total of 9 large bridges and 14 smaller bridges will be constructed on this rail line. The process of acquiring 191.059 hectares of land for the construction of the railway line will commence soon.
