DRM Rathod stated that the division is setting new records in freight transportation and achieved 134.14 million tonnes of freight loading in February of the current financial year, marking a 2.77% increase compared to the same period last year. The division earned 11981.79 crores from freight transport, 389.53 crores from passenger trains, 16.35 crores from ticket checking, and 27 crores from other coaching income. 84.75 crores were earned through scrap disposal this fiscal year. The DRM announced that the sectional speed between Bandomunda Link B and Bangurkela has been increased from 80 kmph to 110 kmph, while the sectional speed between Tata-Gorumuhisani and Anlajodi-Badampahar has been increased from 50 kmph to 75 kmph. The speed on the first loop line between Anlajodi-Gorumuhisani and Anlajodi-Badampahar has been increased from 15 kmph to 30 kmph. 14 railway employees were awarded running shields for their achievements. The awards included best maintained DRM office premises, best maintained running room, best maintained SNT field unit, best maintained railway colony, best maintained station, best maintained TRD OHE depot, best maintained railway school, best maintained RPSF barrack, best maintained electrical efficiency unit, best maintained traffic gate, best maintained C & W depot, best maintained loco shed, best maintained health unit, and best maintained garden.
