In a separate incident, students at a government middle school in Pappanasathram near Chennai have staged a protest demanding the removal of the school's headmistress, Karthika. The students, along with their parents, allege that the headmistress frequently takes leaves and fails to provide proper instruction in the subject of mathematics. They also claim that her continued presence is jeopardizing their future. The school management, along with the village administration and parent-teacher association, engaged in discussions with the protesting students and parents.
