However, railway officials stated that they do not have any provision for an ambulance and it is the health department's responsibility to provide one. The Chief Medical Health Officer (CMHO) has also written to the station director stating that the 108 ambulance cannot be stationed at the station 24/7, as it needs to respond to calls from other areas, and therefore, the railway should provide an ambulance. The CMHO also suggested that if the 108 ambulance is available, it should be used. The CMHO has also written to the Mission Director of National Health Mission (NHM) in Madhya Pradesh, demanding action against those responsible for the ambulance's delay. The delays in ambulance services have raised concerns about the lack of timely medical assistance at the busy railway station.
