by February. Trial and load testing, as well as non-interlocking (NI), are scheduled for the last week of February. The Commissioner of Railway Safety will inspect the line on March 6th. The first phase of the new line, from Sonwal to the City Station, covering approximately 9.6 km, has already completed all tests including the CRS inspection last year. The new route is expected to be operational after the CRS inspection. The inauguration of the project might be done by the Prime Minister in March, but the exact date is yet to be decided.
