With Chalukya and Sharavati starting, we have few peculiar situations: 1. Two daily trains between Mumbai and Hubli within one hour gap and second train overtakes the first. 2. Two daily trains between Mumbai and Bangalore within one hour gap and second train is faster by 2 hours. 3. Two trains between Mumbai and Thirunelveli within one hour gap on 4 days... more...
a week. 4. Two trains between Mumbai and Villupuram within one hour gap on 2 days a week. 5. Two trains between Mumbai and Katpadi within one hour gap on 4 days a week and no trains on other 3 days. 6. Hubli to Bangalore takes 10 hours, 3 hours more than normal.
Early departure for Dr-Ubl exp will be good now. 6 PM from Dr and arriving UBl by 8-9 am. Also now Goa slip to Ubl stands cancelled, which was another alternative before from Pune to Dwr/Ubl. This can cover up, win-win scenario for both Chalukya and Ubl exp.
There are too many trains at the same time, and this train is very slow. Time to reach Bangalore/Mysore from Dadar is the same despite doubling of track
I would suggest like this: Start Chalukya by 1800 to cross UBL by 0700 and reach SMVB (bypassing YPR) by 1430 . Further, Katpadi by 1800 and PDY 2145. TEN train Salem by 1930, Madurai by 0030, TEN 0430. Return start from TEN by 1630/ PDY 2300 to reach SMVB 0800 and UBL 1530 and DR 0530.
Start UBL express by 2130 to reach UBL by 1100. Return start by 1700 to reach DR by 0730. If terminal problem is there at Mumbai, shift one of the train to LTT. If... more...
found successful, this can get extended upto Bangalore to reach by 1830/ leave by morning 0900.
