The construction involves seven small bridges, one large bridge, and piling work near the Cooum River. The project necessitated the suspension of train services between Chennai Beach and Velachery at the Chintadripet MRTS station in August 2023. The Velachery flying train service from Chennai Fort station will also start in August 2023. Commuters have requested the Southern Railway to expedite the completion of the project.

August 2023 mein Chennai Beach aur Velachery ke beech Chintadripet MRTS station par train services suspend ki gayi thi, is project ke wajah se. Chennai Fort station se Velachery flying train service bhi August 2023 mein start hogi. Commuters ne Southern Railway se project ko jaldi complete karne ka request kiya hai.
