admitted for treatment. His son, Lochan Yadav, said that his father had been mentally ill for several years, but could still do household chores. He left home on Sunday afternoon to fertilize the paddy crop in the field. After applying fertilizer, he was returning home from the edge of the railway track when he was hit by a passenger train going from Dumka to Deoghar. He sustained serious injuries and was taken to Sadar Hospital, Deoghar for treatment. The on-duty doctor, after providing initial treatment, started the operation, but he died in the operation theatre. The deceased's son did not blame anyone. The hospital administration informed the Baidyanath Dham OP in-charge about the incident. The police prepared a panchnama of the body and handed it over to the relatives after the postmortem. A copy of the statement given by the deceased's son has also been sent to the Mohanpur police station in-charge. On this basis, the police will investigate the matter and take appropriate action.
