Two notable cases from Pune Division were highlighted: 1. **Kaptan Singh**, a Track Maintainer, noticed a broken handle on train JSWD on May 26th, 2024 and promptly informed authorities. The train was stopped at Karad station and potential danger averted. 2. **Ajay Kumar Modak**, an Assistant Station Manager, noticed severe brake binding on train 11301 on February 21st, 2024. He signaled the loco pilot, stopping the train between Uruli and Loni. The brake issue was rectified, preventing a possible incident. The General Manager praised the awardees for their dedication to safety, emphasizing that their actions serve as inspiration for others.
