His family expressed their gratitude for the love and respect shown towards him, highlighting his legacy of humility, generosity, and purpose. N Chandrasekaran, the chairman of Tata Sons, described Tata as an exceptional leader whose impact extended beyond the Tata Group to the nation itself. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also expressed his sorrow at Tata's passing. Harsh Goenka, chairman of RPG Enterprises, called Tata a beacon of integrity, ethical leadership, and philanthropy. Earlier in the week, Tata had reassured the public that his health was fine and that he was undergoing routine checkups for age-related conditions.
