to Titagarh in August 2023, will be deployed on the 39.22 km Red Line alongside existing Hyundai Rotem trains. They will be manufactured domestically in Titagarh's Uttarpara facility, near Kolkata, and stored at the Gyaspur Depot until the new Indroda Depot in Gandhinagar is completed. Titagarh has previously worked on Pune and Surat Metro projects, and is also assembling 204 coaches for Bangalore Metro. The new trains are a significant step toward enhancing Ahmedabad's public transport network, promoting local culture, advanced technology, and domestic manufacturing.
