কলকাতা মেট্রোর প্রথম থার্ড রেলের আধুনিকীকরণ, ৪০ বছর পর ইস্পাতের বদলে বসছে অ্যালুমিনিয়াম

Kolkata Metro has implemented a significant upgrade by replacing the steel third rails with aluminum ones, marking a first in the system's 40-year history. This change, aimed at enhancing efficiency and passenger safety, is being rolled out across various stations on the Kavi Subhash to Dakshineswar route. The switch to aluminum...

rails promises to be environmentally friendly and energy-saving, leading to reduced operating costs. The new rails have already been installed in yard lines at Girish Park and Maidan stations, ensuring smooth train movement in these crucial sections used for maneuvering faulty trains. On September 7th and 15th, the yard line third rails were replaced. The first installation of aluminum rails on a main line used for regular passenger services took place at the Central Metro station, covering 70 meters. This upgrade is expected to improve the overall performance and stability of Metro trains. The aluminum rails are more efficient and provide better conductivity, reducing voltage drop issues. They also minimize the heat generated by friction between the rails and the third rail current connectors (TRCCs), contributing to a more controlled temperature within the tunnels. These changes are being implemented at night to avoid disruption to passenger services. The Kolkata Metro authorities anticipate that the use of aluminum rails will result in a safer, more comfortable, and cost-effective journey for passengers.

Kolkata Metro mein ek bada badlaav aaya hai, 40 saal baad pehli baar steel ki third rail ko aluminium se replace kiya ja raha hai. Ye badlaav Kavi Subhash se Dakshineswar route ke alag alag stations pe kiya ja raha hai. Aluminium rail, jo environment friendly aur energy saving hai, se...

operating cost kam hoga aur passenger safety bhi badhega. Girish Park aur Maidan station ke yard line mein aluminium ki third rail already install kar di gai hai. 7 aur 15 September ko raat mein yard line ki third rail change ki gai thi. Central Metro station ke 70 meter long main line pe bhi pehli baar aluminium ki rail lagaai gai hai. Ye upgrade se metro train ki performance aur stability badhegi. Aluminium rail more efficient hai aur voltage drop ki problem kam hogi. Iske saath, steel rail aur TRCCs (Third Rail Current Connectors) ke friction se jo extra heat produce hota hai, wo aluminium mein kam hoga, jisse tunnel ka temperature control hoga. Ye changes raat mein kiye ja rahe hain taaki passenger service mein koi disruption na ho. Kolkata Metro ke authorities ka believe hai ki aluminium rail se passengers ka journey aur bhi safe, comfortable aur cost-effective banega.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
