However, the road infrastructure is inadequate for the nearly 100 villages located between Kangra and Jawali, making the rail line the only mode of transport. On August 10, heavy rainfall caused a landslide near Jwalamukhi Road railway station, burying approximately 100 meters of the rail track under debris. Railway officials report that the debris has been removed by the four-lane road contractor, and only the track repair remains. Train services can resume between Nurpur Road and Bajnauth after repair. Locals claim that a landslide near Koperlahd in the previous year had left 300 meters of track hanging in the air, taking the department 10 months to repair. On May 11, two trains resumed services between Nurpur Road and Bajnauth, but were halted on July 6 for safety reasons due to the onset of the monsoon. Residents have appealed to Dr. Rajiv Bharadwaj, the MP from Kangra, to expedite repairs and restore train services.

Isse yahin par karib 100 meter rail track pura malbe ke neeche dab gaya hai. Railway srot ka kahna hai ki fourlane thekedaar ne rail track se malba hata liya hai aur ab rail patari ki marammat ka kaam shish reh gaya hai. Marammat ke baad hi Nurpur Road se Bajnauth tak railgadiyan bahal ho payeengi. Graminon ka kahna hai ki pichhle saal barsaat me Koperlahd ke paas bhushkhlan se 300 meter rail track hawa me latak gaya tha aur is track ki marammat karne me hi vibhag ne 10 mahine laga diye aur 11 May ko Nurpur Road se Bajnauth tak do railgadiyan aawaajahi ke liye bahal hui thi, lekin barsaat shuru hote hi chhe July ko fir suraksha ki drishti se railgadiyan band kar di gayi.
