Mumbai Local News: 14 Automatic Rain Gauge installed for real time, authentic data

Western Railway (WR) has completed all pre-monsoon preparations, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted train services during the monsoon season. This includes cleaning culverts, de-silting drains, constructing additional waterways, and installing high-power pumps. Flood-prone areas have been identified and precautionary works completed. Monsoon patrolling will be conducted, and close coordination with municipal corporations will be maintained. Special timetables have been adopted for high tide and heavy rainfall days. WR is also coordinating with municipal bodies for timely information regarding dam water releases and local transport arrangements for passengers during emergencies.
