RPF received a complaint about tampering with signal equipment and theft of 55 meters of cable on the Mirzapur-Prayagraj rail route. An RPF team was formed to investigate the case, which led to the arrest of Vikram Kumar Joshi, an employee in the signal department of Prayagraj, Ajay Kumar, a helper in the Mirzapur work department, and Sunil Kumar. During the arrest, 34 meters of signal cable and tools used for theft were recovered from the accused. Based on their statements, a scrap dealer named Sitaram was also arrested and 20 meters of stolen signal cable was recovered from his shop. Investigations revealed that the accused had stolen signal cables from eleven locations between Natwan, Gaipura, and Birohi.

RPF ko Mirzapur-Prayagraj rail route pe signal equipment mein chhedchad aur 55 meter cable chori ki complaint mili thi. Case solve karne ke liye RPF team banayi gayi. Team ne Natwan Ojhla pul ke paas signal wire katte hue accused Vikram Kumar Joshi (Prayagraj ke signal department mein employee), Ajay Kumar (Mirzapur work department mein helper), aur Sunil Kumar ko pakda. Accused ke paas se 34 meter signal cable aur chori mein use hue tools recover hue. Unki baat se, Sitaram naam ke kabaddi ko bhi pakda gaya aur uske shop se 20 meter stolen signal cable recover hua. Pata chala ki accused ne Natwan, Gaipura, aur Birohi ke beech mein kul eleven locations se signal cable churaaya tha.
