Namma Metro to run driverless trains with drivers initially

The Bengaluru Metro's first driverless train will initially operate with drivers. Following this, the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) will conduct tests for driverless operation. check before being cleaned and proceeding to the platforms for service. At night, the train enters 'sleep mode'. The driverless coaches will undergo static tests within the depot, followed by tests on the metro tracks. The R.V. Road - Bommasandra elevated line, expected to be operational by July 2024, will be the first to use these driverless trains. This Yellow Line is anticipated to serve a significant number of commuters and alleviate traffic congestion on Hosur Road. Six coaches of the driverless train for the Yellow Line arrived in Bengaluru on February 14th after being shipped from Shanghai, China. A Chinese company, CRRC Nanjing Puzhen Company Limited, was awarded a ₹1,578 crore contract to supply 216 metro coaches to BMRCL in 2019. However, due to the lack of a manufacturing plant in India, the company partnered with Titagarh Rail in Kolkata to produce the coaches. The remaining coaches are slated for production by Titagarh Rail Systems in India, with the entire delivery expected by March 2025.

Bengaluru Metro ka pehla driverless train, shuru mein drivers ke saath chalaaya jaayega. Iske baad, Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) driverless operation ke liye tests karega. Driverless train har subah automatic self-check karta hai, Operations Control Centre (OCC) se activate hone ka command milne ke baad. Train fir technical check...

karata hai, phir saaf hota hai aur service ke liye platforms pe jaata hai. Raat mein, train 'sleep mode' mein jaata hai. Driverless coaches, depot ke andar static tests se guzarेंगे, uske baad metro tracks pe tests honge. R.V. Road - Bommasandra elevated line, jo July 2024 tak operational hone ki ummeed hai, yeh driverless trains ka pehla line hoga. Yeh Yellow Line bahut saare commuters ko service dene ki ummeed hai aur Hosur Road pe traffic jam ko kam karne ki ummeed hai. Driverless train ke liye Yellow Line ke 6 coaches, 14 February ko Bengaluru mein pahunche, Shanghai, China se ship kiye gaye the. Baki coaches, India mein Titagarh Rail Systems dwara banaye jaa rahe hain, aur poori delivery March 2025 tak hone ki ummeed hai.
