The shopkeepers expressed their reliance on these shops for livelihood and their occupation of the land for the past 50 years. The Divisional Operating Manager Kumar Ankit and Assistant Divisional Engineer Paramanand Prasad assured the shopkeepers of empathy and that the notices are part of a process. The MP, while congratulating himself on being selected as the Maharatna MP, confirmed that the Intercity Express from Ranchi to Varanasi will stop at Barakarana station and the Shaktipunj Express will stop at Chainpur station. He assured the shopkeepers that they will not be evicted until the Lok Sabha elections and that arrangements for their livelihood will be made. He asked the shopkeepers to form an association and provide a list of members so arrangements can be made for their livelihood. He appealed to the people to ensure Prime Minister Modi's goal of 400+ seats in the Lok Sabha elections.
