South Central Railway hauls record tonnage of freight in January

The top commodities hauled were coal (6.497 MT) and cement (3.278 MT), followed by foodgrains, fertilizers, iron ore, raw materials for steel plants, containers, and other goods. The SCR attributed this success to special measures such as streamlining wagon supply and monitoring freight train movement.
