This surge in popularity is attributed to recent improvements and enhancements made to the app, making it more user-friendly. These modifications include reducing the app lock time after incorrect password entry to 15 minutes, enabling direct UPI payments within the app, expanding the booking radius for suburban and non-suburban stations, reducing the minimum recharge amount to Rs. 50, simplifying the handset change request process, allowing for booking tickets for up to 4 passengers on a single ticket for First Class and AC EMU trains, and adding Marathi language support to the app, alongside Hindi and English.
