& in real life, neither can TTEs do anything. On paper they have power, but he knows that the moment I ask them to rush out using even little bit man handling, nobody knows what may happen to him by next halt. These MSTs are not reserved passengers who travel occassionally, but instead daily & almost act like a gang.
Yesterday only, I saw quite awkward incidence.

more... 19715, a TTE in 2ac caught a vendor selling thali at Jaipur. First he thought he was ecatering guy. But when he started to sell the items, he caught hold of him & asked for id card. As unauthorized, he had none. Also he was selling thali at 150 rs. First TTE asked him to return 80 rs. each to two passengers who bought the food. Then called RPF to report him & asked passengers to be careful.
When all this commotion got over, from nowhere a passenger came to TTE (seated opp my berth) & started to quarrel. Why do you stop them? Let Garib earn something. TTE said it was OK if they sell for 90 or even round figure 100, but 150? Also, will you take responsibility of passenger if something happens to him after eating food? No bill, no icard, where will passenger complain? TTE simply said, license le, sahi rate par beche, mujhe kya?
Matlab ki aise bhi log hain, na pakdo to TTE kuch karta kyon nahi, aur pakad lo to TTE garib ko tang karta hai..
