What has happened with NCR, same needs to be repeated in SECR. Freight corridor, need of the hour for SECR. RB should survey & pass the JSG - NGP double line freight corridor at the earliest & complete this project without loss of time. Truth is, freight can't be stopped. There is alternative to means of transport, but coal? None. If that is stopped, north & north west India will plunge into darkness which is even much more complex problem than late running of trains.

more... come up with more & more intra state & interstate buses on road (either fully govt or PPP mode). Let long distance trains run & remove some (not ALL) substantial small distance passenger services from tracks temporarily, i repeat, only for a year or two (till DFC is complete).

The big shots should do a survey and approve the JSG - NGP double line freight corridor ASAP and finish this project real quick. Honestly, we can't stop the freight, man. We got alternatives for other stuff, but not coal. If that gets stopped, the north and north west India will be in total darkness, which is a way more complicated problem than trains running late.
Even the Chhattisgarh government gotta step up and add more state and interstate buses on the road (either fully government or PPP mode). Let the long distance trains do their thing and temporarily remove some (not ALL) of the short distance passenger services from the tracks, I repeat, just for a year or two (till DFC is complete).
