Have been wondering the future of this train... Since more than a year this train has been running more than 4 to 5 hours late on every run barring a couple of instances wherein the delay was upto 2 hours.
If a Premium Train is given this treatment then why will passengers bother to travel in this train - a train which is always bound to be rescheduled and delayed?
...
more... Was toying the idea if it will be worth to reroute this train via Itarsi - Jabalpur - Chheoki - DDU and GC route till Howrah.
Tried to table the idea in
My imaginary train which clearly pointed out that with the benefits of Khandwa - Itarsi route at 130 MPS, it will require just about 2 hours extra to complete the journey in the new route than the existing scheduled route, Delays extra for via SECR route.
Also halts at DDU, Gaya and Dhanbad will bring Mumbai closer than by the Mail and other trains.
As it has route Sharing with Prayagraj Duronto, the slot sharing can be continued till Chheoki. However as far as Pune Howrah Duronto is concerned it will have to run on its existing route only may be with a frequency increase to Triweekly.
Do share your opinion in this regard.
Thanks
please wait...Translate to EnglishI've been thinking about this train's future for a while now. It's been more than a year, and every time it runs, it's always 4-5 hours late except for a couple times when it was only 2 hours late. Why would anyone want to travel on this train when it's always delayed, even though it's a Premium Train? I was thinking about it, and maybe it's worth rerouting the train to go through Itarsi, Jabalpur, Chheoki, DDU, and GC route until Howrah. I tried suggesting it on this website called India Rail Info, where I created an imaginary train. With the Khandwa-Itarsi route at 130 MPS, the journey would only take an extra 2 hours compared to the current route, considering the delays on the SECR route. Also, Mumbai would be closer since it halts at DDU, Gaya, and Dhanbad, compared to the Mail and other trains. Maybe it's worth considering...
