Thank goodness PLW has started manufacturing again. Much needed to patch the HOG P7 shortage. Hope CLW and BLW also start joining in.
I'd say the workshops (such as BSL or PER) also need to start upgrading all e-locos with HOG kits. LGD for example has too many P7s without HOG. So most trains with regular LGD links from other zones (such as KSK, KK, Bengaluru Rajdhani) often get non-HOG LGD links. Focus should be on getting HOG implemented on P4s and P5s as well on priority. SR still heavily relies on its large P4 fleet, and they run great. Otherwise how will diesel consumption reduce?
New WAP-7s need to be mostly given to SWR, SR and CR as there is an extreme shortage in these zones (SWR now fully relies on WAG-9s and CR is resorting to WAG-5s!). NR/GZB and ECR/GMO are doing much better in terms of 3-phaser availability.
