Bodhan has a lot of historical remains sir, proved to be the capital of Ashmaka Kingdom one of the 16 Janapadas of India and the only one in south India.
The most startling recent revelation being The Famous Kannada Poet "PAMPA" breathed his last at Bodhan(called Pothana that time), Now Telugu classical activists have started an organization in his honor called" PAMPA SAHITHI PEETHAM" and are working towards literature. Being 8 kms from Maharashtra Border and some 100Kms from Karnataka, kannada and marathi are widely spoken here apart from Telugu and urdu.
