Got up at 5 in the morning. Told the taxi guy beforehand to drop us off at Pipariya. Now it was time to head to Jabalpur, so we left from the Pachmarhi hotel at 5:30 am. It was super cold on the way but our driver dude was rocking a half shirt. We reached Pipariya railway station around 6:30. Our train was Habibganj - Jabalpur InterCity Express (I don't remember the number used to be). It used to run to Jabalpur back then (now extended to Adhartal) and was hauled by a WDM-3D loco. We reached platform 2 around 8:15 am. We chilled in our coach, D5. Didn't pay much attention to the stations we passed by during the journey. Decided we'd get off at Madan Mahal instead of Jabalpur as our hotel was near that station. The cab dropped us at Madan Mahal station, platform 1. After getting off the train, we were surrounded by a bunch of rickshaw guys. Managed to find a decent rickshaw and reached the hotel. Chilled there and then went out to the mall in the evening. A typical mall it was. After hanging out for hours, we returned to the hotel and crashed. The next morning, we went to Madan Mahal and had a blast, then headed to Bhedaghat (they say if you visit Jabalpur and don't go to Bhedaghat, it's pointless). Bhedaghat is a famous boating area where you cruise on a boat on the 220-foot deep Narmada river. There are big rocks on the riverbank with water marks. On one side of Bhedaghat, the water is 220 feet deep, and on the other side, it's only 4 feet. The boatman told us that if the water is calm (meaning no noise), it's deep, and noisy water means it's not that deep. After exploring Bhedaghat, we went to Dhuandhar Falls, a big waterfall where water falls from rocks, creating vapor hence the name. Also checked out the market a bit. Found Candamool at a shop which the shopkeeper said was an ancient fruit Lord Rama ate during his 14 years of exile. So we bought and tried it. It became evening during this time. We had to head to Jabalpur railway station because our train, Jabalpur - New Delhi Shridham Express was scheduled to depart at 5:45 pm. Stay tuned for a twist in the next part. Thanks
