Shifting importance trains like Rajdhani exp, Purushottam exp, etc from Kharagpur to Hijli was a very Bad decision by SER. Also after shift till now no upgradation or Modification of Hijli stn done....just shifted with no facility uplift at Hijli ...connectivity to Hijli is worst.......
All these trains like Purushottam, Neelanchal, Nandan Kanan, Utkal, etc saw a decline in patronage from Kharagpur after shifted to Hijli ..... also patronage of Delhi bound trains from Howrah and Sealdah increased after shifting of these trains terminals from KHARAGPUR to Hijli done....Passengers from Debra, Balichak, Panskura, Jhargram, Midnapur, and all nearby areas of Kharagpur prefer to go to Howrah or Sealdah to catch Delhi bound Trains because of very Worst connectivity to Hijli...
more... from all these areas.......If no seats available in Howrah or Sealdah bound trains to Delhi then only people think of these trains to catch from Hijli otherwise not at all. Purushottam is the worst affected train because its departure from Hijli is 4.20 am in morning and Arrival is 10.30 pm at night but frequently reaches Hijli at around 11.30 pm to 12.00 am at Night and at that time there is No Connectivity from Hijli to anywhere and security at Hijli stn is also not 100% at night....
