French conglomerate Alstom has really been a big participant and beneficiary of the rail/metro revolution taking place in India through:
(1) Setting up new Eloco factory at Madhepura and manufacture 800 of 12000HP loco in a decade,
(2) Chennai Metro- providing 42 trains of four cars each
(3) Kochi Metro- providing rolling stock, signalling and power supply solutions and receiving sub-stations.

It further plans to

It is good to note that Alstom has increased indigenous content from 30% to 70% in last few years, benefiting the local manufacturers of parts/ components. Make India a production hub for exports to Central & SE Asian countries.

We would like see Alstom-India manufacturing its latest AGV trains and AGV duplex(ACDD) trains both fit to operate at 320kmph and lay India's second HST track after MUM-AHM.
