I used to be a frequent traveller of this train from 1992 onwards. It used to travel between HWH-Chopan. I used to board it from Renukut. I list few of my memories for all of you:
1. Their used to be only one 2AC coach. This train would never get late in its entire journey. No Pantry car was very inconvenient with reliance on local food vendors
2. We would travel 1.5 hrs from Shaktinagar to Renukut to board this train. At 11 AM this train would arrive at Renukut

more... Near Garwha Road lunch was served with rice, daal, sabzi by local vendors (horrible food). Dinner near Patratu, again by local vendors. I used to get down at Ranchi Rod to go to Hazaribagh by 7 PM.
4. Electrification work started near 1997-98 and I remember that it was near completed around 2001-02.
5. Train used to be in horrible condition due to lights not working at night (flourscent blubs) and toilets not having water.
6. Lot of dacoity used to happen with frequent cases of thefts.
7. Near 1996 this train was extended to Singrauli and after 1996 to Jabalpur
8. Then I started using it to go to Jabalpur for my engineering college. This train became a shuttle from Katni to JBP
9. I still remember drinking Saanchi Cold milk at Katni, it being overtaken by Rewa shuttle at katni and then Shaktipunj overtaking Rewa shuttle near Sehora road.
10. This train remained and is a lifeline for Singrauli/Shaktinagar. I am happy to see that finally it got 5 AC coaches. I think demand for a Pantry car never got through
