Short-termination and cancellation of trains leave passengers stranded in Kerala

Heavy rainfall caused waterlogging on the railway tracks near Akamala between Vallathol Nagar and Wadakkanchery in Thrissur, disrupting train services to northern Kerala on Tuesday. 2 rescheduled. Services resumed normalcy after 4 pm. To accommodate stranded passengers, a special train was operated between Thrissur and Ernakulam. The affected trains included Palaruvi Express, Venad Express, Parasuram Express, and Kottayam-Nilambur Road Express, which were either short-terminated or commenced service from different stations. The cancelled trains were 06445 Guruvayur-Thrissur daily express, 06446 Thrissur-Guruvayur daily express, 06497 Shoranur-Thrissur daily express, and 06496 Thrissur-Shoranur daily express. Parasuram Express from Mangaluru to be extended to Kanyakumari

it depends on timing and infra. if MEMU with toilets are given. 5 hrs is manageable so Ratnagiri to karwar, Ranagiri to mumbai outer may be panvel it can be done. I am not against any long ICE for ratnagiri though.

There was a proposal of constructing a terminal at Sawantwadi Road when Suresh Prabhu was the RM. Any idea what happended to that proposal. They just built an additional platform and 2 extra lines. No progress beyond that.

West Coast Express pehle Mangalore Central se Ullal se chalu honi thi, lekin ab yeh Mangalore Central se chalu hogi.
