प्रतीक्षा करनी पड़ी या फिर अन्य साधनों का सहारा लेना पड़ा। 12925 पश्चिम एक्सप्रेस, जो मुंबई से अमृतसर जाती है, अगले तीन दिनों तक देरी से चलेगी। कई अन्य ट्रेनें, जैसे खजुराहो एक्सप्रेस, सचखंड एक्सप्रेस, झेलम एक्सप्रेस, ऊंचाहार एक्सप्रेस, अमृतसर एक्सप्रेस, और अन्य, 25 मिनट से लेकर 2 घंटे 44 मिनट तक देरी से चल रही थीं। रेलवे अधिकारियों ने पुष्टि की कि पश्चिम एक्सप्रेस का रद्द होना वडोदरा में जलभराव के कारण हुआ, जिससे रेल लाइनों को नुकसान हुआ। अब कई जगहों पर रेल लाइनों की मरम्मत का काम चल रहा है, जिससे ट्रेन संचालन पर असर पड़ रहा है।
