With one rake this was the only option, but again the early dep from Bangalore was proving to be hassle which all passengers were highlighting. But despite a similar slot the BNC-ERS ran with almost 96% occupancy. Passengers were wanting a slight;y delayed start post Intercity Exp. This would have meant 2 rakes needed if it was to become a daily train

545 or 600 is the right time zone for dep from BNC. The train should touch Coimbatore as booking from Benguluru will be under General Quota and travellers will get down at Salem Erode and Coimbatore and the seats get boarding from Coimbatore to Ernakulam/ Thrissur. Later dep after intercity at 700 will not get travelers to Kerala beyond Palakkad in normal days except peak demand season and Saturday from Bengaluru.

16 coach is not required for Ernakulam Bengaluru as already Coimbatore Bengaluru VB and Uday are running, . 8 coach will be enough. From Bengaluru side they can start with 8 coach and after an year upgrade to 16 C based on travellers booking pattern.

In reference to the above, it is suggested by PCME/SECR & Dy.CCM (PS) SECR ECORRES that 16 car rake of train No. 20829/30 (DURG VSKP) Vande Bharat Express may be replaced by 8 car rake due to Poor patronization (23%) and Pit line constraints at DURG Depot.
