This has been continuing since post Covid.....I guess pre-covid most of the trains in this section were running on time. As of now looks like SECR has improved the punctuality in their territory but the real problem now starts when trains enter JSG and then onwards till Howrah
Because the train's concept itself has become an orphan. And above that it passes through two zones that have understood that freight revenues are multiple times higher than running a train that used to be 'premium' more than a decade ago.
SECR has done quite a lot of work on it's punctuality after heavy backlash. But SER, they're so thick skinned, they keep delaying trains. What can you expect from a zone that slowed down the current 'sensation' VB, just because it wasn't able to maintain the laughable SF average.

If you track this one down closely, you will find that SER is equal culprit along with SECR if not more, in delaying this train.
SER is a 3rd class zone of IR. Almost 90% trains runs late daily. Passengers suffering and our worst railway minister has no headache busy in publicity stunts.
Howrah -Mumbai Duronto Exp is intentionally delayed by SER, SECR just to give passengers to Flights. Just do an RTI about increase in nos of passengers and flights between Kolkata and Mumbai and Pune in last 5 yrs. You will see number of passengers and flights between Kolkata and Mumbai has increased and number of passengers decreased in Howrah-Mumbai / Pune Duronto exp.

Exactly to nahi pata, kyonki bahut din se update nahi liya. Abhi tripling/quadrupling chal raha hai bahut areas mein poore Howrah Nagpur stretch mein aur bahut jagah complete bhi ho chuka hai
DFC ka koi fayda nahi hai.Paise barbaad hote hai.Multi Tracking jo abhi ho rhi hai wahi best hai.
