Following the recent incident reported by rail vlogger Chinmay Kole, the demand for replacing ICF rakes with LHB rakes on the Matsyagandha Express has resurfaced. To address this, I propose three potential solutions:

the RSA with Train No. 16347/48 MAQ-TVC SF Epress and establish an RSA with Train No. 12685/86 Mangaluru Central–MGR Chennai Central SF Express. Since the Matsyagandha Express is a prestigious train on the Konkan Railway route, it should also have a First AC (Cabin) coach. Given that Train No. 12685/86 is maintained at the BBQ depot, which is better than the maintenance at the TVC depot, this change could be beneficial. The Mangaluru Central–Thiruvananthapuram SF Express could either form an RSA with the Netravati Express or operate independently, as it halts for 3-4 hours at Mangaluru Central.

3.Establish an RSA with the Netravati Express, as was proposed in the IRTTC 2022 meeting.
