I presume that there will be a large number of passengers for Mysore, Mandya etc as this is the only direct train and there are atleast 5 more trains between MAQ and SBC (16512 etc). So why schedule it to reach mysore at 3:30 AM. Surely the departure from MAQ can be delayed by a few hours so that people destined for the MYS-SBC section can reach their destination at a more comfortable time. Just my 2 cents.

ONT will be only 2. 16511 and 16585. Panchaganga will not touch Mangalore.
I see no harm in considering Panchaganga as Suratkal is very much in Mangalore City limits .
Surathkal railway station is 16 Kms away from Mangaluru. And it requires atleast 30 minutes to reach. Panchaganga Express arrives Surathkal very early morning. At that time no proper mode of transportation is available to travel to Mangaluru. So, it will not help Mangaluru people very much.
Surathkal is NOT in Mangalore city limits. I am from Surathkal. It takes 45-60 minutes by bus to reach Mangalore from Surathkal railway station. Autos charge 450+.

irifan2015~ 2504 blog postsThis triweekly can be amalgamated with 16649/50 MAQ NCJ Parasuram express, thereby providing connectivity from Karnataka to Kerala. Timings are also suitable. To start with, Parasuram can get extended to Bangalore in the same slot on days this triweekly is not running. Subsequently, can become daily.
Parasuram Express is a highly patronized day time train in Kerala , any differences in its coach composition would affect KL passengers......making it have RSA with 16585 would not be ideal.....instead MS - MAQ Express can be made to have RSA with 16585 by tweaking its timing as the coach composition is also matching....Thus there wont be any new rake needed as well considering the current situation.......MS - MAQ Express arrival has to be advanced and SBC - MAQ Express should also arrive MAQ atleast by 5 AM

16585 can start from SBC :20.30, MYS: 23.20 HAS: 01.45, MAQ 08.15
16586 MAQ: 19.00, HAS :00.50, MYS: 03.30, SBC:06.00
and later it can make daily as well

Better to run a daily train between Mumbai and mysuru via karwar
Indian Railways is removing all the slips by converting it into separate trains.
