2)In tatkal booking also ... It is very very difficult to get sleeper berths for friday night departures ...Getting sleeper berths are only possible when u book tickets 4 months before the travel ...
THE FOLLOWING are my ideas and i tried and i got the sleeper tickets easily on diwali travel when pandiyan got 1000 waiting list ...
1.Train no 11043 .. Mumbai ltt madurai weekly express ... Which departs mumbai at 12.15 on every Fridays and reaches Arakkonam at 23.25(friday) and Chengalpattu at 1.00(saturday) .... """This train does not touch Chennai""""
It gives tatkal seats of 150 for renigunta,arakkonam to tpj,dg,mdu ... And tatkal competition is between tirupathy to tpj,dg,madurai travellers only which is very easy to get confirm berth .. i tried and got sleeper berth ...
since chennai to dg,tpj,mdu tatkal travellers search from ms-tpj,dg,mdu so they mostly didnt notice this train We have to search AJJ-MDU tatkal... ***But we have to travel to arakkonam ... I boarded palani express(21.40 from mas) unreserved coach and easily got seat to sit ... It took nearly 1hour 10 minutes to arrive arakkonam ... LTT-MDU express arrived on time at arakkonam ..
Note:
-Costs 400 rs from ajj to mdu on tatkal booking
-This train surely arrive ajj on time
-This train arrives Trichy before 6 am
-But arrives madurai at 10.00 am only (Acceptable because getting sleeper on fridays and festivals are very difficult)
-Gets filled in tatkal only after 11.15 am(whereas pandiyan,rockfort gets regret even on 11.05 am on fridays)

2.Train no 12652 TN Sampark kranti ...
Departs 7.10 am on nizamuddin on Thurdays and departs MS at 18.25 ...
They are giving 76 berths for ms-tpj,dg,mdu and this gets full easily on fridays..
when we check ms-mdu tatkal bookings on thursday for friday night travel,NOT AVAILABLE is displayed ... but
But This train departs on thursdays at nzm hence tatkal bookings open at (((wednesday))) 11.00 am for ""nzm-ms-mdu"" ... I searched tatkal bookings for ms-mdu on wednesday 11.05 am for friday travel on this train ...
AVAILABLE-122 is displayed and easily we can get sleeper but we have to book on wednesday ...Everybody search on thursdays for friday night travel
Now competition is between nzm-ms tatkal travellers .. But it is very easy compared to pandiyan,rockfort ...

3. Train no 12642 Tirukkural sf .. Same tt as tn sampark kranti .. for ms-tpj-dg-mdu-vpt-ten-ncj-cape for sunday,Tuesday night travellers ... This train departs
7.10 am in monday,saturday so tatkal booking will open for nzm-ms-mdu-cape on sunday,friday ... Today i saw tatkal for ms-mdu tuesday night and it shows AVAILABLE-49 even at 15.43 hrs (tatkal opened at 11.00)
*-Book tatkal ticket on sunday instead of monday for tuesday travel(ms-tpj-mdu-ten-cape)
*-Book tatkal ticket on thursday instead of friday for saturday travel(ms-tpj-mdu-ten-cape)

4.Train no 12665 HOWRAH-CAPE WEEKLY SF .. for ms-tpj-dg-mdu-ten-ncj-cape
Departs 16.10 pm from howrah on monday and departs 20.20 at ms om every tuesdays ...
Tatkal bookings for howrah-ms-tpj-mdu-cape opens on sunday 11.00 am ...
Tuesday night travellers search tatkal at monday 11.00 am only but when u check at sunday 11.00 am u will easily get sleeper...
Today(sunday) i checked tatkal for tuesday night travel from ms-cape
it shows AVAILABLE-23 on 15.54 hrs (tatkal opened at 11.00 hrs)
*-Book tatkal ticket on sunday instead of monday for tuesday travel(ms-tpj-mdu-ten-cape)

5. 4th step is applicable for train no 12663 ms-tpj night travellers on monday,fridays
*-Book tatkal ticket on saturday instead of sunday for monday travel(ms-tpj)
*-Book tatkal ticket on Wednesday instead of thurday for friday travel(ms-tpj)

6.Same TN Sampark kranti for wednesday night travel from ms-tpj,dg,mdu
Train departs tuesday on nzm 7.10 am and departs ms at 18.25 ...
Charting for ms-mdu is done at 14.30 hours and when u check ms-mdu on wednesday 14.30 pm .. minimum AVAILABLE-100 for SL,AVAILABLE-50 for 3AC for sure on wednesday only
On friday charting at 14.30 this train will show NOT AVAILABLE for sleeper
minimum AVAILABLE-10 for 3AC
7.the 6th step is also applicable for tirukkural express.. Current booking at 14.15 hrs
FINAL NOTE:
-ltt-mdu arrives on time at ajj (so no time problem)
-TN Sampark kranti arrives 90 percent before 7 pm on ms
-Tirukkural sf arrives 90 percent before 7 pm on ms
-HWH-TPJ,HWH-CAPE arrives mostly 2-3 hours late at ms

Everything has an Experience!!! Today I took a different train to Chennai which is Trichy-Howrah Superfast Exp .... Red hot and Sexy looking Recently POHed ED WAP4 22890 was the charge today. The Train was Utkrisht but inside the coaches all were looking like normal coaches,then I realized it was like namesake,just they changed the colour of the coaches thats all. I expected least crowd, later it turned out to be wrong

was almost full on all coaches and 2 Guys were sitting on my berth,till chennai we 3 shared the single side lower berth which made me tired!! Anyhow did Railfanning from Window but couldn't able to do Maximum as the train was crowded and my berth was at Non Track Side!!!! Also found a coach of number 01234 interesting na!!!
