This tip is for those who want to visit both Baba Baidyanathdham & Basukinath on same day.
After reaching Jasidih in morning, freshen up in paid AC lounge on PF 1 (30 rs per hour for sofa & 60 rs per hour for recliner).
Take an auto/toto (20-25 rs per person) to Deoghar (8 kms from Jasidih). After reaching the temple, buy flowers + gangajal & move to general line. It may take up to 1.5 to 2 hrs (or even more, especially on mondays). If you want to be done quickly,...
more... contact a panda (pandit) who will give you a card priced at 250 rs per person & help you do the puja (dakshina extra). This line will take almost 30-45 mins. Inside the main temple, space is not that much & its crowded + slippery. After offering puja, panda will again woo you to tie a ribbon connecting Mahadev & parvati temples (minimum 551 rs.), if you want, can go for that.
Now, you'll be done with Baidyanathdham & you can have breakfast & move to either bus stand or Jasidih/Deoghar Jn (Don't go to Baidyanathdham station). There is Jasidih -Dumka DEMU at 1125 hrs which will drop you at Basukinath by 1230 hrs. Take a shared auto from here to temple (10 rs. per person). At noon, Basukinath is comparatively less crowded & you can have a very convenient darshan (except on Mondays).
There is nothing much to explore in Basukinath except temple, so you can catch Rampurhat - Jasidih special at 1450 hrs OR if you are late, you can catch buses or wait for Godda- Ranchi Intercity or Dumka -Jasidih DEMU in evening.
If you are staying one more day in Deoghar, then you can explore Trikut hills, Tapovan, Navlakha temple, etc.
Happy to answer any queries. Enjoy your trip.👍

When you get to Jasidih in the AM, freshen up at the paid AC lounge on PF 1 (30 bucks per hour for a sofa & 60 bucks per hour for a recliner). Grab an auto/toto (20-25 bucks per person) to Deoghar (8 kms from Jasidih). Once you're at the temple, snag some flowers + gangajal & hop in the regular line. Might have to chill for 1.5 to 2 hrs (or more, especially on Mondays). If you're trying to speed things up, hit up a panda (priest) for a 250 bucks per person card to help you with the prayer (extra tip appreciated). This line will be around 30-45 mins. Inside the main temple, it's cramped & slippery. After your prayer, the panda might try to sell you on tying a ribbon between Mahadev & parvati temples (at least 551 bucks), your call. Now you're done with Baidyanathdham, get some brekkie & head to the bus stand or Jasidih/Deoghar Jn (Avoid Baidyanathdham station). Catch the Jasidih -Dumka DEMU at 1125 hrs to Basukinath. There's a shared auto to the temple (10 bucks per person). Basukinath is less hectic around noon (except Mondays). Not much else in Basukinath besides the temple, so you can hop on the Rampurhat - Jasidih special at 1450 hrs OR grab buses or wait for Godda- Ranchi Intercity or Dumka -Jasidih DEMU later on. If you're sticking around Deoghar, check out Trikut hills, Tapovan, Navlakha temple, etc. Hit me up if you got any questions, have a blast on your trip!👍
