One important tip is that board this train before 10pm bcoz after that people will sleep in the long seats.
For railfans window seats are easily available.
Ganga sweets, Hotel Saravana Bhavan,Mc Donalds,Madurai Kumar Mess food outlets available.
Tambaram has totally 8 platforms.
Platform 1 & 2 & 3 for suburban trains going towards Beach Station.
Platform 3 & 4 for Chengalpattu & Tirumalpur(Kanchipuram) bound suburban trains.

Anyone will get buses to southern part of tamilnadu like salem, madurai, kumbhakonam, thanjavur etc from just outside the railway stn(PF 1 end). At the other side of railway station you will get direct buses to OMR, Shollingnallur, Velachery, Thiruvanmiyur, Sirusery IT Park etc(PF 8 end).
Will be de-boarding pandian and have to board:15 atleast for which I must get the 4:20 Sub urban to MSB. Can I know the exact location of ticket counter. I know I can go till MS in Pandian but want to de board at TBM because according to Scheduled, I have more time to take ticket and board at TBM than in MS
Climb the steps go to west side exit and u will see UTS counters at the entrance of station.
The west side end of fob will lead to PF1 and exit u go to exit there will be ticket counter
