The RPF Inspector, Dinesh Kumar, investigated the incident and found that railway workers were changing a broken sleeper near the bridge. It is believed that a small stone may have hit the engine during the work, causing the noise. The engine was inspected at Pt. Deendayal Junction but no damage was found. A joint investigation report has been submitted to higher authorities.
