Previously, railway employees were limited to a select few hospitals for their healthcare needs. Railway employees and their families in the Dhanbad Railway division, covering Dhanbad, Ranchi, Ramgarh, Daltonganj, Hazaribagh, Koderma, Durgapur in West Bengal, Varanasi, Mughalsarai, Chandauli in Uttar Pradesh, and Singrauli in Madhya Pradesh, will benefit from this new arrangement. Private hospitals that are already part of the CGHS, ESI, and ISHS schemes are also eligible to join the panel. The hospitals need to adhere to the CGHS rates or lower for providing services to railway employees and their families.
