While IRCTC has issued tenders for the canteen, no operator has come forward. The restaurant is also undergoing a tender process within the South Eastern Railway zone. It is reported that the five stalls were closed by their operators due to outstanding license fees demanded by the railway. Passengers are facing inconvenience as a result. However, the commercial and catering supervisor is working to reopen the stalls to accommodate the influx of passengers during the upcoming festivals.
