During interrogation, Jameer confessed that his brother-in-law, Mohammad Daulat, residing in Gandhi Nagar, Kharagpur, had instructed him to deliver the brown sugar to Raj, a resident of Haldipokhur. He was promised a commission for the delivery. However, the police team apprehended Jameer before he could hand over the brown sugar. A case has been registered against Jameer Ahmed, Raj, and Mohammad Daulat under the statement of SI Tej Pratap Singh from Bagbera police station, while Jameer was sent to jail following the interrogation. An SIT has been formed to curb the brown sugar trade, which will collaborate with the Saraikela-Kharsawan Police. The focus will be on areas within Jamshedpur where a significant number of brown sugar peddlers have been apprehended. A review will be conducted to enhance surveillance and conduct raids in those locations. It is believed that most of the brown sugar peddlers arrive in Jamshedpur from Aditya Nagar, Saraikela-Kharsawan. The cooperation with Saraikela-Kharsawan Police is aimed at eradicating the drug trade.
