The plan also includes connecting Omkareshwar to Trimbakeshwar, another Jyotirlinga, under the Prime Minister Jyotirlinga Corridor project. The railway authorities have approved the request and the additional services will operate on June 13th, 14th, and 15th with two trips each day. From June 16th, the train will run on its regular schedule. The first trip departs from Khandwa at 9:00 AM and arrives in Sanawad at 10:30 AM. The return trip departs from Sanawad at 1:00 PM and reaches Khandwa at 2:30 PM. The second trip leaves Khandwa at 3:00 PM and arrives in Sanawad at 4:30 PM. The return trip departs from Sanawad at 5:00 PM and arrives in Khandwa at 6:30 PM. Traffic congestion is reported in Omkareshwar due to the large number of visitors. The main road from Mortakka to Omkareshwar is closed for vehicular traffic, increasing the pressure on the Sanawad-Omkareshwar route, leading to frequent traffic jams.
