Domingarh-Kusmhi is progressing rapidly. The doubling of the Gorakhpur-Nakha railway line and the Domingarh-Kusmhi third line is expected to be completed by December. The Railway Ministry has allocated Rs. 30 crore for this project, which will facilitate smoother train operations and better timekeeping. The doubling of the Gorakhpur Cantt-Valmiki Nagar railway line is also underway and is expected to be completed by 2025. The Railway Ministry has allocated Rs. 1,242.10 crore for doubling and construction of the third line on the Northeast Railway. The doubling of the 116 km railway line between Bhatni and Audahihar is almost complete, with only 55 km remaining. Besides these projects, the government is also planning yard remodeling at Gorakhpur Junction. The Cantt and Kusmhi station yards have been rebuilt. The process of constructing a third railway line from Barabanki to Chhapra via Gorakhpur has also commenced. The proposed third line will be approximately 425 km long and will run along the main railway line. The Railway administration has initiated a phased survey for the third line.
