and started rescue operations. Train operations on one line were disrupted for hours. Officials from the Commerce, Operations, and Engineering departments worked together to put the derailed bogie back on the track. The Senior DCM of the Katihar Railway Division, Dhiraj Chandra Kalita, confirmed the incident and said that efforts were underway to restore the track. Train operations on the down line were disrupted late into the night. Authorities reported that it would take three hours to resume operations. Train services resumed late at night and both up and down lines are now operational.

Vaanijya Vibhag ke adhikari ke saath-saath parichalan aur abhiyantran vibhag ke adhikari bhi ghatna sthala par pahunch kar derailed bogi ko patri par lane ka prayas tej kar diye. Katihar Rail Mandal ke Senior DCM, Dhiraj Chandra Kalita ne ghatna ki pushti ki hai. Malgaadi ke ek bogi ka chaar chakka bepatri hua hai. Patri par lane ke liye prayas tej kar diya gaya hai. Der raat tak down line par trainon ka parichalan badhit tha. Adhikariyon ne bataya ki parichalan shuru karne mein teen ghanta ka samay lagega. Bataya jata hai ki der raat parichalan shuru kara liya gaya. Phirhaal up aur down dono lineon par trainon ka aavagaman suchaaru ho gaya hai.

The young man, identified as Kaiser from Labha, sustained burns to his shirt and back and was taken to the district hospital. The Railway Protection Force (RPF) is investigating the incident to determine why the young man climbed onto the wagon.

Railway ko koi nuksan nahin hua. Ladka, jiska naam Kaiser hai, Labha ka rehne wala hai, uske kapde aur peeth jal gayi aur use hospital bheja gaya. RPF yeh jaanch kar rahi hai ki ladka wagon pe kyon chadha tha.

Due to rising water levels on the Bhagalpur-Jamalpur railway section, six express trains are being operated from Katihar. These trains are being diverted through the Katihar-Barauni railway section. The decision to reroute the trains was made due to flooding in Bihar.

train, being the only daily train connecting Katihar and Amritsar, is already operating at over 150% of its capacity. Extending it to Jogbani would further burden the train. Anwar highlighted the lack of new daily trains on this route despite population growth. He suggested the introduction of a new daily train from Katihar to Amritsar or Jammu, passing through Purnea, Araria, Lalitgram, Darbhanga, Narkatiaganj, and Gorakhpur. This would ease the pressure on the Amrapali Express and provide a much-needed alternative for travellers. He also expressed concern over the underutilization of Katihar's four pit lines and the largest railway coaching depot in North Bihar due to a limited number of originating trains. This facility is operating at only 50-60% capacity. Anwar also urged the GM to reconsider the proposal to extend train numbers 15713 and 15714, the Katihar-Patna Intercity, to Jogbani. He suggested introducing a new superfast Rajya Rani or Intercity service from Jogbani if enhanced connectivity is needed. The Katihar-Patna Intercity is already running at full capacity, and extending it could lead to operational issues. Anwar expressed hope that the GM will seriously consider these suggestions and concerns to improve rail services in the region.

Unhone suggest kiya ki Katihar se Amritsar ya Jammu tak ek new daily train start ki jaaye, jo ki Purnea, Araria, Lalitgram, Darbhanga, Narkatiaganj, aur Gorakhpur se hoke chale. Isse Amrapali Express par passengers ka pressure kam hoga aur travellers ke liye ek new aur zaruri option available hoga. Unhone yeh bhi bataya ki Katihar mein chaar pit lines aur North Bihar ka sabse bada railway coaching depot hone ke bawajood, limited number of originating trains ke karan iska pura utilization nahi ho raha hai aur yeh sirf 50-60% capacity par kaam kar raha hai. Anwar ne GM se train number 15713 aur 15714, Katihar-Patna Intercity ko Jogbani tak extend karne ke proposal par bhi reconsider karne ka request kiya. Unhone suggest kiya ki agar Jogbani tak connectivity badhani hai, toh wahaan se new superfast Rajya Rani ya Intercity service start ki ja sakti hai. Katihar-Patna Intercity already full capacity par passengers se bhari rahti hai aur isse extend karne se uske operation mein difficulties a sakti hai. Anwar ne umeed jataayi ki GM in suggestions aur concerns par seriously consider karenge, taki is region ki rail services mein improvement ho sake.
